bikini fest – a youth vision serving the influence of Mole Saint-Nicolas Launched in 2024 at the initiative of Prince Odson Nestor, BikiniFest is a summer festival led by young people, which aims to promote the natural, cultural and touristic riches of Môle-Saint-Nicolas.
An initiative born from a vision;
In the cultural and tourist landscape of Môle-Saint-Nicolas, BikiniFest presents itself as an initiative that combines entertainment, youth engagement, and the promotion of the region. Launched in 2024 by Prince Odson Nestor, a young social worker, this project was born from the desire to create an event capable of bringing residents together, attracting visitors, and showcasing the assets of this municipality in Haiti’s Northwest Department.
To realize this vision, Prince Odson Nestor surrounded himself with a group of young people gathered within Splendeur Groupe Haïti (SGH), a socio-cultural association committed to initiatives aimed at youth and the community.
The goal is to make the holidays an opportunity for meeting, discovery and celebration, while offering Môle-Saint-Nicolas a showcase to better promote its potential.
Reziyen Beach, in the heart of the festival;
This festival, organized during the school holidays, takes place on Reziyen beach in Môle-Saint-Nicolas. The choice of this natural setting allows for a combination of festive activities with the discovery of an iconic area of the town.
BikiniFest invites participants to enjoy a coastal environment, share convivial moments and discover the attractions of a city whose natural resources and heritage are important assets.
Beyond its recreational nature, the festival has a broader ambition: to encourage visitors to discover Môle-Saint-Nicolas, its history, its culture and the development opportunities offered by its territory.
A lever for tourism and economic promotion;
The potential of a festival is not limited to the entertainment it provides for a few days. It can also help boost the local economy by supporting the activities of businesses, service providers, and other community members.
From this perspective, BikiniFest presents an opportunity to highlight the potential of local tourism. The arrival of visitors can boost the consumption of local products and services, enhance the town’s visibility, and generate greater interest in its natural and historical sites.
For Môle-Saint-Nicolas, which boasts remarkable natural resources and historical heritage, tourism promotion is a key issue. Initiatives like BikiniFest can help raise awareness of these assets and encourage a new dynamic of local development.
This ambition also implies particular attention to beach cleanliness, environmental protection, participant safety and the promotion of local activities.
BikiniFest 2026: a third edition planned for August 9th;
After its launch in 2024, BikiniFest continued its development with the preparation of its successive editions. August 9, 2026, had been chosen for the third edition of the festival, on Reziyen beach, in Môle-Saint-Nicolas.
This third edition was in line with the initial vision: to offer a gathering space during the holidays and to encourage people from different backgrounds to discover the community.
The event also demonstrates the significant role that youth-led socio-cultural initiatives can play in revitalizing their communities. Through SGH, this approach is based on collective mobilization, creativity, and a commitment to creating activities that go beyond mere entertainment.
Prince Odson Nestor and the commitment of youth;
The story of BikiniFest highlights the role that young social workers and socio-cultural associations can play in carrying out community projects.
By launching this initiative, Prince Odson Nestor chose to mobilize a group of young people around an event project dedicated to promoting their city. The involvement of Splendeur Groupe Haïti illustrates the importance of collective work in preparing and organizing public events.
This experience may also open up perspectives for other initiatives in the fields of culture, tourism, the environment and local entrepreneurship.
Môle-Saint-Nicolas, a heritage to be valued;
Môle-Saint-Nicolas possesses natural, historical, and cultural assets that deserve to be better known. Its beaches, heritage, and local identity are essential elements upon which a tourism promotion strategy can be based.
BikiniFest aligns with this perspective by inviting visitors to discover the town during their holidays and participate in a festive seaside experience. The challenge lies in integrating this type of initiative into a sustainable approach, capable of fostering local economic benefits, strengthening youth participation, and contributing to the preservation of natural spaces.
A festival serving a collective ambition;
Since its launch in 2024, BikiniFest has pursued an ambition that combines youth, culture, entertainment, and tourism promotion. Through this project, Prince Odson Nestor and the young people of Splendeur Groupe Haïti are helping to create an event that invites the public to see Môle-Saint-Nicolas in a new light.
Beyond the festivities, BikiniFest reminds us that a territory can also enhance itself through the initiatives of its inhabitants, their creativity and their ability to mobilize around a common vision.
Raising awareness of Môle-Saint-Nicolas, attracting visitors, showcasing its assets and creating opportunities for the community: this is the ambition that gives BikiniFest its full meaning.
